Working With Contour Column Stitches, Radial Fills and Wave Fills
This is a "group" session. There may be as many as 10 students enrolled in this session.
If you prefer private instruction, click on the link for "Private Instruction" options.
In this session, you will learn how to work with the contour column fill to make flower petals that have dimension and depth. We will also use the radial fill stitch, the wave stitch and the gradient wave stitch. You will make a flower with three different leaves this session.
You will learn:
How to apply different types of outlines and fills to segments of the design
How to work with motif fills
How to use the "slice" tool with artwork images
How to shape the contour column stitch
How to layer a radial stitch
How to shape a wave fill to follow the contour of the artwork shape
How to apply two colors to the wave stitch
How to use "line, smooth, cusp" editing tools
You will make a complete embroidery design in class!!
We have a fully illustrated step by step color workbook included with this class. You must pay for this class 2 days in advance of the date you plan to attend the online class. By ordering this class and workbook before the class date, you can have a "follow along" reference as we progress through the online class.
Check the calendar for the date and time you want to take this class.
Pay for the class using the PayPal shopping basket. You will not be confirmed to take this class until we have received your PayPal submittance. We will then notify you of your completed enrollment.
Fill in the "Enrollment Form" and submit it.
Once you have been enrolled into the class we will email you the password and instructions on how to download the workbook. NOTE: please select your date and time at least two days in advance of the posted date. It takes time to get instructions to everyone and last minute enrollments are difficult to manage.
Approximately two days before the class date, you will be emailed the information needed to log on and attend the online class.
YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ENROLLMENT FORM FOR YOU REGISTRATION TO BE COMPLETE.

Some students find it helpful to have the online class on one computer and another computer with the software installed side by side so you can actually follow each step. You will be doing work online with Sue or Karen, but having the second computer allows you to do each step independently.
